DrippDaDon Latest EP “Dorm Room Vibes" Available Now

Rising artist DrippDaDon is set to make waves in the music industry with the release of his highly anticipated EP, Dorm Room Vibes. Born Mugisha Barack Donatien in Maheba, Zambia, in 2004 and immigrating to the U.S. in 2008, DrippDaDon has carved out his place as a tri-lingual, multi-instrumentalist rapper, songwriter, and producer. Now based in Columbus, Ohio, DrippDaDon blends his African roots with modern American sounds, creating a unique, genre-crossing style that appeals to listeners worldwide.

With the growing overlap between African and American music, DrippDaDon is poised to stand at the forefront of this cultural shift. By the age of 16, he was engineering and writing music that spanned genres, from Afrobeats and Amapiano to Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B, and even Country. His debut EP, Sides of Me (2020), garnered over 687,880 streams in its first two years, showcasing his versatility and growing fanbase.

Since then, DrippDaDon has made his mark on stage, opening for Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz in 2021 and performing at notable events such as the Juneteenth Ohio Festival, Cleveland Youth Festival, and Columbus Arts Festival, among others. His performances have captured audiences not just locally but across the U.S., including high-profile venues like XO Nightclub in Columbus and Rose Garden Events in Brooklyn, NY.

Dorm Room Vibes promises to be another bold step in DrippDaDon’s career, reflecting his diverse musical influences and experiences as an immigrant artist. With international appeal, the EP taps into the rising trend of blending African and American sounds. DrippDaDon is also working on another upcoming EP, Me, Personally, which will further solidify his presence in the industry.

Dripp’s growing popularity has also earned him sync licensing placements with MTV and BET, as well as the attention of Grammy-nominated and RIAA Platinum-certified producers, including Giscard Xavier (Nas, Wyclef) and Mel “Chaos” Lewis (The Roots, Black Eyed Peas).

“Da Storm” is coming, and Dorm Room Vibes is only the beginning. DrippDaDon is on a mission to redefine how music lovers experience culturally transcendent music.
