From the studio to the stage to the block. Mike “Tate” Tetreault has had an inside look at the music industry most fans only dream about. Except for him it’s not fun and games, it's work, people, and opportunities. He’s taken his past as a music producer, radio host, and music tour manager and leveraged those relationships to put together real estate deals for some of your favorite artists.
The 31-year-old CEO owns two real estate companies, one a brokerage humbly named after himself “The Tate Team” and a real estate investment company he prefers not to name drop so it can operate under the radar, and continue to secure killer deals for high profile clients and partners alike.
From meeting artists in the past like Jay-Z, DJ Khaled, and Offset, to being on tour with the likes of Future, Meek Mill, Meghan Thee Stallion, etc, it’s helped inspire him and got him comfortable being around celebrities.
“Once you start meeting people who’ve inspired you, it’s even more motivation, it’s like if I can get in a room with them, what else can I do? The work ethic, the hustle, the drive these artists have are second to none. There’s a reason they are where they are. By taking some of the things I ‘ve seen and applying it to myself and my own businesses, that has taken me a long way”. Says Mike “Tate” Tetreault.
Tate grew up in a suburb about an hour away from Boston, MA called Fitchburg, MA. Speaking to others who grew up with Tate it was always a matter of when, not if, when he would ascend to his own superstar status. It just happened to be that real estate was the vehicle that set him financially free and has allowed him to use his relationships in the music industry to the max.
“Just to prove a point I wish I can tell you who I work with, but in this business you have to respect privacy and sign all kinds of NDAs. Especially today with crazy people trying to map your every move. These artists you hear on the radio and see on TV though, just know I’m that motherfu**er advising them on what multifamily property to invest in. I’m talking to them about don’t go buying another chain, partner with me on this flip and make an easy 150k. I’m traveling to Atlanta, Miami, LA, NY on the weekends and not posting anything about it. I care about the bag of course, but more importantly these relationships I build are priceless. To most people on the outside, you would think I live a double-life, but you’d never understand the dynamics of what I do either”. Says Mike “Tate” Tetreault.
Tate’s eccentric personality and relentless work ethic has stirred the pot in the real estate world but it’s also the reason why he’s wildly successful and why many people want to work with him. His real estate brokerage The Tate Team is already in several states and his investment company operates nationwide. Tate’s future plans include a reality TV show and a speaking tour beginning in 2023.
