New Single “Drop A Bomb” From Riotron And Big Freedia Gets A Remix By R3HAB

Canadian indie-pop artist Riotron joins forces with Big Freedia, a veteran of the New Orleans music scene, for a single that blows the heat off this summer. “Drop A Bomb” is a fast-paced, energy-packed, and powerful track fused with electronic dance music synths and beautiful vocals. With streams and plays nearing 2 million in the first week of release, “Drop A Bomb” is an imminent success and is bound to become a fan-favorite!

The music video for “Drop A Bomb” was directed and produced by Alex Salyer; it depicts a funky animation of the artist living his best life and through listening to his voice, the entire population changes from bored and colorless to vibrant and full of energy. “Everything is alright…make it happen like we got no choice,” are some of the simple yet inspiring lines Riotron uses to fuel his audience.

Big Freedia became the mainstream face of bounce, delivering high-energy, body-positive, and LGBTQ-empowering anthems such as "Booty-Whop" and "Explode" from the 2014 breakthrough “Just Be Free” and "Rent" from 2018's 3rd Ward Bounce. The flamboyant diva has recently appeared on Beyoncé’s new hit “Break My Soul”. About the new collab with Riotron, Freedia said: “We have been mutual fans of each other for a while, so I was happy to collaborate on this”.

This powerful track caught the attention of another amazing artist R3HAB who immediately created a house remix of the song, pumping it up to unimaginable pace. “This song is just as explosive as its title and I've had a great time creating a remix,” R3HAB said. “I bumped up the BPM, chopped up the vocals, and brought the production firmly into the house genre. I can't wait to add this to my sets.”

Riotron’s previous single “Life Is What We’re Living” amassed over 20 million plays with remixes by Mahalo and the legend of dance music Paul Oakenfold. The music video is a piece of art on its own, starring Lea Thompson (Back To The Future) and Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf). Riotron has also received co-signs from Marshmello and R3HAB, remixes by Black Caviar and Wuki, features in Billboard, Instinct Magazine, and an HMMA award for best indie-pop song (“I’m Sorry”), and more.
