Fans of Tyler, The Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw are that the festival won't be happening this year.

The rapper's manager Chris Clancy confirmed the unfortunate news to Billboard on Monday, October 3. According to Clancy, the reason why the festival was cancelled this year is "not that deep." The California native has been touring a lot since he released his Grammy award-winning album Call Me If You Get Lost. Tyler has also been caught up with other projects and isn't trying to commit to executing an entire music festival at this time.

“Tyler toured all year and was busy with a number of projects," Clancy said. "Reading the tea leaves and what’s happening with festivals coming out of the pandemic, we thought it would be best to come back next year.”

The last time Tyler hosted the festival was back in 2019. The lineup included rare sets from Solange, FKA twigs, Brockhampton, the late Juice WRLD, and more. At the time, it was rumored that Frank Ocean would come through for a surprise set. However, Drake made a shocking appearance instead. Unfortunately, the crowd at Camp Flog Gnaw was upset that Ocean didn't come out so they ended up booing Drizzy off stage. Tyler wasn't happy about the crowd's reaction.

"I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE F**KING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE! BUT FLIPSIDE, A LIL TONE DEAF KNOWING THE SPECIFIC CROWD IT DREW," Tyler tweeted after the show. "SOME CREATED A NARRATIVE IN THEIR HEAD AND ACTED OUT LIKE ASS****S WHEN IT DIDNT COME TRUE AND I DONT F**K WITH THAT."

Camp Flog Gnaw officially went on hiatus along with other music festivals in 2020 during the pandemic. Although some music festivals have already made a comeback, Tyler's event will return in 2023.
