Sevyn Streeter is back!

On Friday, the Haines City songstress released her highly anticipated sophomore album Drunken Wordz x Sober Thoughtz, after taking a nearly four year hiatus from dropping music. DWST is the follow-up album to Sevyn's 2017 debut project Girl Disrupted; and hosts a slew of features from some of today's hottest artists, including Chris Brown, A$AP Ferg, Lucky Daye, Lavish, BIA, Jeremih and more.

The album release comes just weeks after the sultry star gave fans a glimpse into her sensual side with the T-Street and Charlie Heat produced track "Nasty Girl" featuring Bia.

In a recent interview with Rolling Out, the Grammy Award winning singer got candid about her four year hiatus, revealing to the mag that her abrupt break from music was for a myriad of reasons.

“I’ve been living life, you know, experiencing life. I say that all the time. I have to live my life before I write. It’s one of those things. I took some time off. I lost my uncle to cancer. That, obviously, forever changed who I am. I dated a little bit, was in a relationship, went through a breakup. So [I just] like to live life. I have to live life and really take my time to create music that I personally love and feel connected to.”

The 35-year singer/ songwriter — known for penning hit songs like Ariana Grande's Grammy Award winning record, "The Way" — was slated to drop DWST in 2020, but didn't feel that it was ready just yet. Slowly but surely, Sevyn started to let fans in on what she's been working on over the last few years. In February 2021, she released the lead single to DWST entitled "Guilty" featuring Chris Brown & A$AP Ferg, which has already amassed amassed over 25 million streams.

Drunken Wordz x Sober Thoughtz is now available on all streaming services. Check out the steamy visuals for "Guilty" ft. Chris Brown & A$AP Ferg below.
