Taylor Swift Unveils New Chapter 'Forever Is The Sweetest Con'

Taylor Swift just issued another chapter from her Evermore era.

Late last night (January 28), the pop star unveiled Forever Is The Sweetest Con, an extended play that features six tracks, including “cowboy like me,” “invisible string,” and “long story short.” This new chapter arrives a month after Swift dropped her ninth studio album Evermore, the sister album to Folklore.

Forever Is the Sweetest Con is the latest installment from Swift’s new music era since issuing the previously-released Dropped Your Hand While Dancing Chapter, The Saltbox House Chapter, and The Sleepless Nights Chapter. Her first chapters, The Escapism Chapter and Folklore: The Yeah I Showed Up at Your Party Chapter, followed the release of her number-one eighth studio album, Folklore.

The arrival of Swift's new EP comes just weeks after the "Cardigan" singer released two bonus tracks from Evermore, titled "It's Time to Go" and "Right Where You Left Me."

Swift issued both LPs in 2020, with July’s Folklore and December’s Evermore topping the Billboard 200 chart, respectively. With the latter's release, the 31-year-old scored her eighth number-one record, placing her second behind Madonna (with nine number-ones) on the list of female artists with the most number-one albums — a title long-held by Barbara Streisand, who reigns with 11 number-one albums.

On the part of Folklore, the full-length project became the top-selling album of 2020 and the only LP to sell at least a million copies that year.
