Camping In State Parks Resumes Soon In Limited Capacity

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says state parks will start accepting reservations for overnight camping as of today. Camping in Texas parks was temporarily prohibited because of the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this month, Parks and Wildlife announced that it would honor camping reservations that had been previously booked. The department announced Tuesday that park visitors may now make new camping reservations for dates between June 1st and September 7th. Certain group size restrictions and social distancing requirements apply, and visitor centers and other park facilities are still closed.
