Tekashi 6ix9ine may have an upward legal battle ahead of him, but his biggest concern right now is his family's safety, especially since he's basically denounced his gang.

The 22-year-old rapper's lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, who visited Tekashi (whose real name is Daniel Hernandez) in jail on Tuesday (November 20), told TMZ: "Daniel’s mood is fine, because he knows he is innocent. He’s extremely concerned about his family."

As previously reported, the "FEFE" rapper is getting no form of special treatment while he's behind bars, not even when it comes to his safety.  While 6ix9ine awaits his bail hearing, he is with every other inmate at the "notoriously brutal" Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. According to TMZ, his attorney says he hasn't asked for protective custody, but the feds could make that decision on their own if they think he's in danger.

Prosecutors reportedly claimed on Monday (November 19) that Tekashi's life had been threatened, saying they had proof one of his ex-crew members said they "wanted to violate him" before his Sunday (November 18) arrest. The alleged threat came after Tekashi's Friday (November 16) "Breakfast Club" interview where he accused his team of stealing and turning on him, causing the rapper to fire his entire team and cancel his U.S. tour.

Tekashi is being accused of committing a string of crimes (6 felonies to be exact) with his alleged Nine Trey gang members. However, Lance told The Blast, Tekashi is not affiliated with any gang despite him repping gang ties in the past.

"Daniel Hernandez is completely innocent of all charges being brought against him," Lance told the site. He is "an entertainer who portrays a 'gangster image' to promote his music does not make him a member of an enterprise. Mr. Hernandez became victim of this enterprise and later took steps by firing employees and publicly denounced this enterprise through a morning show," he added, referencing Tekashi's "Breakfast Club" interview.
