Kanye West's meeting with Donald Trump will be monumental for more reasons than one.

According to TMZ, West's visit to the White House on Thursday (October 11) will include the signing of new legislation that could possibly put even more money in the Yeezy creator's pocket. The "I Love It" rapper is expected to be front row as President Trump signs the Music Modernization Act (MMA), which is the game-changing music legislation law that will update licensing and royalties to artists, songwriters, and producers for music played on streaming services. West is not the only music industry titan that will be present for the monumental signing. The Recording Academy President and CEO, Neil Portnow, and Recording Industry Association of America President Mitch Glazier are also scheduled to attend.

Earlier this week, The New York Times reported that West was set to meet with Trump and his son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner, to discuss the availability of job opportunities for former convicts and ways increase the number of manufacturing jobs in West's hometown of Chicago.

The "All Mine" rapper's invitation to the White House came after he came under fire for going on a pro-Trump rant during the season premiere of Saturday Night Live"It’s so many times that I talk to a white person about this, and they say, ‘How could you support Trump? He’s racist.’ Well if I was concerned about racism, I would have moved out of America a long time ago," he said while wearing a Make America Great Again hat. "We don’t just make our decisions off of racism. I’ma break it down to you right now: If someone inspires me and I connect with them, I don’t have to believe in all they policies."

Trump later took to Twitter to sing West's praises, writing, "Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) - no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!"
