Post Malone's Private Plane Blows Tires, Preparing For Emergency Landing

Update: Malone's private jet diverted to Stewart International Airport in New Windsor, New York, and landed safely at 3:52 PM ET.

Less than 24 hours after his successful 2018 MTV VMA outing, Post Malone found himself in a bit of a situation when his private plane was forced to perform an emergency landing after two of the front tires allegedly blew out after takeoff, as per TMZ.

According to the celebrity gossip outlet, Malone and his entourage were on their way to London from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey when the Gulfstream Aerospace GLF-4 luxury jet's tires blew off during takeoff. In a clip of the air traffic audio, the pilot informed the caller that they've lost the tires and asked permission to circle above for an emergency landing. He also informed the caller that there were 16 people on the plane. An insider close to TMZ revealed that the air traffic control urged the pilot to continue the flight to Massachusetts in order to burn more fuel for a safer crash landing, where it has diverted to Westfield Barnes Regional Airport. The plane had 3,700 gallons of fuel to burn. At time of press, no update had arrived from Malone or his team.

Prior to their takeoff, Malone's manager, Dre London, shared footage of them boarding the plane and even posted a video of him on the private jet via Instagram Stories. Click here to follow the plane via Flight Radar24 and see the live newsfeed below!

Malone was one of the many big winners at Monday night's VMAs, where he took home the title for Song of the Year and closed the show with Aerosmith. "You go to bed and you dream about maybe winning and then whenever you get up here you don’t remember what the hell to say," Malone said at the podium. "Thank you so much. Thank you to my family, thank you to my crew — everybody that was a part of the song. Thank you everybody for listening."

"Honestly, in a hundred million years I would never expect to do this ever, so this is sick," he continued. "So thank you so much, guys, thank you so much."
